    The target audience for this seminar is HR professionals and any business owners.  This class will explore the current state of employee benefits to see what trends are happening, and more importantly, what trends are coming.  This will take a broad approach to cover many areas within employee benefits.  Is your current benefit package competitive?  Are you offering the benefits that match the different generations in your workforce?  Do you know what your employees want?

    Some of the areas we will cover include wellness and wellbeing, communications and technology, generational differences, engagement and health plan trends.  We will also review bench mark data so you see where your plans are in comparison to your peers.  What is the latest in the wellness and wellbeing areas?  This is critical to engaging employees and “bending the trend” cost curve whether you are fully insured or self-funded.

    Objectives are:

    • Help plan next year’s renewal and benefits programs
    • Discover trends in the market that you weren’t aware of
    • Make sure you have a competitive benefits program to attract and retain the right employees

    This seminar will be presented by Todd Hanson, President, Minneapolis Benefits, CBIZ. 

    Todd has more than 30 years of experience in the employee benefits consulting and insurance industries.  His past experience Includes the Director of Client Services at CBIZ.  Todd held the Health and Productivity Practice Leader role in the Minneapolis office of Buck Consulting where he provided benefits consulting as well as delivery of various human resources services.  Todd has also worked as the Benefits Practice Leader for Marsh and the middle market leader for Mercer.  On the insurance side, Todd has worked as the Regional Group Manager for MetLife and ING-Reliastar.

    Todd’s experience includes overall client management, needs analysis and benefits consulting including health, life, disability, dental, voluntary, outsourcing and employee communications.

    Todd has a B.S. degree in Business from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota.  He is a licensed Life and Health insurance broker in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, Michigan, North Dakota, South Dakota and Utah.
