North Star SHRM
North Star SHRM will be hosting a seminar titled: Saving Trees & Moving to the Cloud: The Future of HR. It will be held at Guardian Angels Senior Services Corporate Offices (508 Freeport Avenue NW, Elk River) on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 from 8 am to 9:30 am. All North Star SHRM members are invited to attend. In addition, all Elk River, Monticello, and I-94 West Chamber members are invited to attend. There is no cost to attend.
The target audience for this seminar is HR professionals and any small business owners. HR has tons of paper. What if we eliminated the paperwork and went paperless? What if we put all of employee information in the cloud? What if we had access to all of our technology 24/7 and from our smartphones? The rewards are many for both HR and employees. Hear from a HR technology aficionado and employment lawyer about what the benefits, risks, and just plain cool things new technology can do to help HR save a forest.
Learning objectives are:
- Appreciate the benefits of new HR technology that eliminates some of the paperwork plaguing HR
- Understand the risks that are associated with cloud-based technology and systems
- Learn risk mitigation techniques to lower the chances of litigation resulting from third-party possession of employee information
This seminar will be presented by Kate Bischoff, from tHRive Law & Consulting from Minneapolis, MN.
